Available Services For Students

Counselors are available at the Center's Boulevard location Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Additional Services: For registered students, the Center offers free health screenings; (TB, Flu Shots, etc.). See our News section for more activities and dates.

 


Counseling services are available for registered students needing help or direction in various areas. Certified counselors can assist you with personal, educational, vocational or career issues.

Some of the counseling services activities offered are: Voter Registration, Family Services Day, College Day, Financial Aid Workshops, AIDS Awareness Instruction, Career Day and College Admissions Workshops.

Literacy Volunteers of America
Literacy Volunteers is a fully integrated national network of local, state, and regional literacy providers that give adults and their families the opportunity to acquire skills to be effective in their roles as members of their families, communities, and work-places. Literacy Volunteers provide student-focused tutoring, one-to-one or in small groups, at no charge to the student. The mission is to change lives through literacy. Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven is located at Science Park, Building 4 in New Haven, 06511. If you find you're studying hard but need extra help, Literacy Volunteers may be able to help you improve your reading, writing and English speaking skills. Free tutoring is available.
